The Display not working

Try connecting an external monitor (TV?) to the laptop's HDMI port and check if there is a display on it when the laptop is on. Don't forget to press the F10 key to switch between displays.

If there is no display on the external monitor then there is a problem with the motherboard or perhaps the laptop is not passing POST - can you hear the Windows startup sound (if enabled)?

If there is a display on the external monitor, switch back to the laptop screen (press F10 again) and then shine a torch at an angle close to the laptop screen and check if you can see any images at all. They will be very faint if they are there.

If there are images to be seen then there is a backlight problem with the display. Either a faulty backlight power circuit on the motherboard, a problem with the video cable between the motherboard and the screen or in the screen.

If the are no images then it is either a motherboard, video cable or screen problem.

In either case further testing would be required to find out what and where the problem is.
