How do I remove the emmc?

Hi,
According to the hardware maintenance manual for the laptop it has a removable M.2 2280 type SSD card for data storage and not hard mounted eMMC storage.
If you wish to remove it go to p.41 in the manual to view the procedure.
How do you intend to use the laptop without a storage drive i.e. without an operating system installed?
