Try using this method to reset the tablet.

Be aware that a hard reset will erase all your data and downloaded apps, it will restore the tablet to its factory default condition. Also depending on what Android version is installed (> V5.1), if the tablet has a Google account associated with it, you will need to know the User ID and the password for the account to gain access to the tablet once it has been reset.
