The Dodge Dakota (called the Ram Dakota for its final two years of production) is a mid-size pickup truck from Chrysler’s Ram division (formerly called the Dodge Truck division). Here's the Passive Restraint Systems section from the 2000 Dodge Dakota service manual, that may help

It details how to remove the clock spring and what special tools are required.
