Water Filter replacement Status

Replaced water filter for French door GE refrigerator. The filter has RFID tag, and the status should automatically reset after new filter is installed. This fridge does not have a touch screen nor a reset button.

Anyone have this problem before? Any tips? Guessing we have to live with it or buy another expensive filter.

Try the following:

Press and hold the water button for 3 seconds until you hear the tone. This indicates the filter has been reset.
