After I disassembled the phone an replaced the battey, the screen is just black and shows some white flickering. The phone appears to be one, because I can sense a vibration after touching the fingerprint sensor or the the power on button. What could be the case?

These screens are fragile and can easily be damaged during removal, which is most likely your case. Order a replacement screen and give it a try.
