Repair and troubleshooting information for the FixHub Portable Power Station, the primary power source and control interface for iFixit’s FixHub product line. Released in October 2024.

Factory reset, CLI serial commands

Hi, does anyone know a command to return the FixHub to it's original shipped state?

Am thinking this would be via a terminal session, as the "knob" doesn't seem to show this option.

Also, is there any documentation on the CLI serial commands?

Some, like mcu-sn or toolinfo, are fairly straightforward, but am wondering if there's a comprehensive list of the other commands, similar to a man page.

Hi @osxtra ,

There is no menu setting on the Power Station to reset factory defaults, nor is there on the web interface (currently).

In the meantime, these are the default settings:

Language (English)

Power-Off Timer (10 min)

Timer Enable (Enable)

Max Charge (100%)

Error Log (clear error log)

We also don't currently have a public spec for the serial terminal commands. We might in the future.

I do not see the option "Max Charge" in my menu. Is this part of an update?

@omegatotal Yes, you should be able to see this option once the firmware is updated (not sure what exact firmware version number this would be when this option first appeared).

Nice 6 month turnaround
