iSight (FaceTime) camera cable replacement?

Hello all, I broke the iSight/FaceTime camera cable on my Late 2011 MacBook Pro, I plan to replace the cable but I don't know what is the right way to do it.

Methods I've seen:
1. Replace the entire screen assembly (expensive
2. Disassembly the entire screen assembly (cheaper but difficult)

Based on few part images I've found on online shops like AliExpress, it seems like there's two cables for the camera. One is just the cable, and the other is part of the WiFi/Bluetooth antenna module. Are there two cables for the iSight/FaceTime camera? Is there one connecting the camera module to the antenna then the antenna to the motherboard? How can I replace it for cheap and easy?

Thanks

I am in the middle of making some guides on. this, but for now they are not complete to publish as yet. Basically you will need to remove the display glass to get to the cameras connection as the longest cable on the part you pictured runs around the edge of the display under the glass. You'll need some hot air and a lot of patience as this is NOT the easiest of repairs as after removing the glass (Providing it didn't crack or shatter) you'll need to clean of all residue from the inside of the VERY FRAGILE glass & from the display frame, then, re-tape in the exact same places, and then be sure NOT to get any fingerprints or dust inside the display when you put it back together otherwise you'll have to start all over, hence some just chose to buy or source a complete replacement display assembly or just use a USB Web Cam when needed.

There are a group of cables passing thru the hollow hinge, only one is the camera cable. Because the cables are hostage within the hinge they all get replaced together.

So can I just replace the antennas (where the cables are) to get the camera back or do I still have to disassemble the display assembly just to replace the camera cable?

@rainegillingham - Not sure why we are now focused on the COAX antenna cables.

The problem you face is the hinge is a tunnel which the cables run through, all four of them (the BlueTooth is mounted under the optical drive the fifth) that's the three COAX and camera cable thru the hole.

The replacement cable MacBook Pro 13" iSight Camera Cable (11/12) you need to feed the camera cable alone thru the hole by desoldering the antenna COAX cables from the antenna bar to first remove them to make room for the camera cable to fit through the tight hole. Most people just get the antenna bar and camera assembly complete which is easier. More so as you don't need to solder and keep track which COAX cable goes were as they are different lengths.

Ah okay, got it. So I have to remove the display glass to get the cable replaced?

And you will need to take the cover glass off to get to the camera, review this guide on how to take the cover glass off this is the older 2010 13" but it's no different than the 2011 13" MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Mid 2010 LCD Replacement starting at Step 16. Follow this guide to get the display assembly off MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Late 2011 Display Replacement
