aircon not getting cold
why my aircon is not cold and blowing hot
Это хороший вопрос?
With the engine idling, can you hear a "clunk" sound from the engine bay when you first turn on the aircon in the car?
The sound is produced by the aircon compressor's electric clutch operating.
The clutch connects the aircon compressor with the engine so that the compressor is now turning, driven by the serpentine belt turning the pulley on the compressor. This causes the refrigerant gas to be pumped through the aircon unit cooling the air.
If you can't hear a clunk sound, then check that the 7.5A aircon fuse and air con relay are both OK. (usually found in the engine bay fuse box - marked A/C Mag (fuse - fuse box position #15 and Heater (relay - fuse box position #47)
If you hear a clunk sound when you first turn on the aircon with the engine idling, then you may have to get the refrigerant charge level in the air con system checked that it is OK e.g. loss of refrigerant would cause no cooling when the air con is turned on.
