Where does this arm go?
I have taken apart my old bernina 1001 domestic lockstitch, and this arm fell out!
I cant figure out where it is supposed to go. Help!

Well, if it's not showing wear marks, it may be a tool tucked away for anyone servicing the internals. One way to tell, if done carefully is to manually rotate the machine or apply low speed. If movement is free and adjustments do not cause a jam or stop operation, this may be a wrench, included with the machine. Like attachments accompanying sewing machines. There may be a clip holder or a cutout in the frame or chassis that this piece slides into. Free operating manuals may help but I cannot find a service manual.
Professional repair people would know and may reveal what that part does, if they're willing to give out info if you send images for identification.
