Starting near the keyboard, use the flat end of a spudger to help separate the adhesive as you peel back the track pad ribbon cable.

Be very careful as you are peeling the ribbon cable back because it is very fragile and easily torn.

Also be sure to not pull on the keyboard and backlight ribbon cables underneath the track pad ribbon cable, as they are also very fragile.
