In the following steps you'll be cutting through the adhesive that adheres the screen to the phone.

For reference, the back side of the screen is shown at left. Note the narrow clearance between the edge of the screen and the LCD underneath the glass.

If you plan to re-use your screen, be extra careful as you cut through the adhesive in the following steps.
