История для "How do I fix my backlight?"

My laptop was very dim, and the light diminished to the point where nothing was visible. The laptop still turns on, and is responsive, but that is useless without the ability to see the screen. The screen is pitch black now. Is there a DIY fix for this, or a shop fix? Or is this laptop past the point of no return?
