I have completed this swap out of the home button and i worked without any trouble. Mini 2 screen and mini 3 home button. Just remove the mini 2 home button and desolder the mini 2 home button tape off contacts. Now install mini 3 home button in hole. Only trouble is hole is just a bit smaller. My customers feedback was it looks and works great.... best bet buy a mini 3 digitizer and transfer home button form old screen to new screen.
