How do I get my phone to turn back on?

My phone keeps locking up and won't turn on all it will do is go to the screen that says Samsung and stay there and the buttons start flashing and when it finally comes on it can't find signal and gets locked up what should I do?? Does anyone know how to fix it??? Please help!!!
