Charge Port repair same for TF0310 as TF300T?

Fairly certain the charging port on my mother's Asus TF0310  Transformer Pad is going bad again. (Replaced once already by BestBuy but their protection plan apparently doesn't cover refurbished items anymore so they won't do it again.) Would the process detailed here for the TF300T be the same for my mother's TF0310?
