How do I change computer/system laguage to english.

I received my Vaio handheld from a friend who lives in Korea. When I received it in the mail, I was so excited. Once I started up the computer, the entire computer system and software is in Korea! Total hongul. I cannot read anything to make any changes. I've had it alongside my other laptop with Vista and confirmed that the language is read as English, only it is coming through in Koean. I'm thinking I will have to completely wipe out the system and restart... but I don't know where and how to start. It's like working int he dark. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
