Without pics I can’t be certain. But here are a few things I can let you know.

Glass is suppose to be clear. If you removed the Glass only it should also be clear with black borders. Your LCD that is still on the frame should be black (see image). I also added an image of the LCD’s back side if it were removed from the frame.

Your LCD that is still on the frame should be black (see image), if it does not look like that, you probably removed the Polarizer film along with the glass and it is still on the glass. In that case your LCD is damaged. Try testing to see. I also added an image of the LCD’s back side if it were removed from the frame.
