being that your laptop shows signs of life ( keyboard and such light up), i would say there is not a major power issue going on. I feel that the ordeal with google crashing and what not are coincidental and non causal of it not powering up now. Being that there is no charge indicator lighting up now once you plug in you ac adapter is a clue that perhaps you have a frozen bios. Of course, without voltage readings and such, this is purely bedside manner and may not be 100 percent accurate. Am i correct that you said you just bought this a few months ago? if so, you are covered by the manufacturer for 1 year. also, you may be able to get the stores technician to do this for you and i encourage you to do these first! however, i believe that if you are to remove your battery, take the back cover off, remove the cmos battery and the short the terminals the battery were placed in, this may solve the boot issue/ no charging light issue.
