-A lot of these have the very common "bulging capacitor" issue, and that can be fixed fairly easily by someone who knows what they are doing and is good with a soldering iron. You might want to look inside to see if there are any exploded/bulging capacitors, and if so, advertise on CraigsList or elsewhere for a local tech who knows how to replace them. Hopefully this is the issue, because it's going to be cheaper to pay a tech $100 to do a soldering job than to buy a new board, etc.
