Don't know the laptop and the user guide doesn't show the BIOS menus but since the USB is not being detected at all in BIOS, check under the ''Advanced'' tab menu  for ''Integrated Peripherals'' or ''Onboard devices'' or something similar to see if there is a USB Controller enable/disable option.

Some BIOS allowed for the USB to be turned off as a security measure
