My apologies to all you Mac experts, I do not mean to butt in. I just follow this question since I just recently "inherited one of these. I do not even try to pretend to be an expert on this. I did my research and this is what I came up with. The transformer that Max is referring to, might be what I attached as image 1 . Looks like there are about 7 of them. The panel is an LG Phillips TFT LM240WU2 the datasheet for the panel is available [http://www.keepandshare.com/doc/3272204/lm240wu2-sla1-general-final-cas-061011-pdf-november-13-2011-9-29-pm-484k?da=y|here] and it does have the pinout for the inverter listed.
