Sounds like a possible overheating issue as you say it happens after a few hours.
Try blowing the dust out through the cooling vents or if you feel up to it open the case for a more thorough clean. Do NOT touch any internal parts unless you know what you are doing. Electro static energy discharge can damage delicate electronic parts.
