@technorist any chance you can post some pictures of what your display looks like. [guide|21499] This oculd be a bad LCD or a bad GPU. Attach an external monitor and see if that displays properly. If so, it's your LCD if not it's most likely your GPU. Also, try in safe mode and see if that changes anything.

Also, download the owners manual for your computer [https://dl.dell.com/content/manual27916210-dell-latitude-7480-owner-s-manual.pdf?language=en-us |from here]. Luckily Dell places their repair manual in with the owner's manual. It'll help you if/when you have to work on your computer.
