You say that it is mostly unnoticeable then I would leave well enough alone.
-Attempting to remove scratches etc from a screen is fraught with danger.
+When attempting to remove scratches etc from a screen, there's a good chance that you will create more problems than there already is.
For example, if using any sort of liquid to clean the screen to remove dirt from the scratch to make it less apparent then there's a possibility of it running down the screen and getting past the bezel and into the electronics.
-Also when trying to buff out any scratches using a polish or even toothpaste, if too much pressure is applied this can damage the connections between the rows of pixels in the screen.
