A hard drive replacement guide for a Toshiba Satellite C55-B5200 laptop.

    • Turn the laptop off and remove all sources of power.

    • Flip the laptop over so that way the bottom is facing towards you.

    • Remove the two 6.6mm Phillips #0 screws from the battery.

    • Pull the battery out of the laptop.

    • Remove the two 4.6mm Phillips #0 screws from disk drive.

    • Lift the disk drive and pull out to remove.

    to remove the back, you have to remove all the philips screws. and then, it took some gentle but firm prying to get the back off.

    Missing steps. You need to take the cover off by removing all the screws and prying gently.

    it is useless and unacceptable to have a guide without showinng all the steps!!! Please do better in the future!

Pablo, you didn’t mention that you must remove all the screws to get at the hard drive. What a pain. Other satellites have compartments the c55 that i have you must take every screw out as the back is one piece. Thanks for the instructions.
