Open the zipper at the base of the bag, then open the zipper in the compartment liner to expose the handle mechanisms.

All metal bars should be straight and plastic housings should be intact. Replacing the handle won't work if the metal bars or handle housings are damaged or bent.

If there is a possibility that the handle is sticking but not damaged, try lubricating it first.
