Press the handle release button to retract the toggle buttons on the handle.

If the toggle buttons won't retract, use a pointed object (like a screwdriver) to depress the buttons into the handle housing manually.

Pull the handle up and out of the handle housing. Use a repeated side-to-side movement to free the black plastic sleeves on the bottom portion of the handle.

Discard the damaged handle responsibly.
