Ok, so I added the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9100 2.26GHz Quad-Core, and I am not sure if it was a defective processor, or it didn't recognize the Quad . Luckily for me I also purchased the Intel Core 2 Duo T9600, which worked. I would still like to see where I can max out with processors. I would like to try the Intel Core 2 Extreme X9100, and at the very least the Intel Core 2 Duo T9900. All of which are socket P processors. Trying to add a bit more power and speed to this laptop. I maxed out at 8MB or RAM, now I just need a processor with a bit of power, speed, and Virtualization. The T9600 is cool, but I would actually like to see and feel the difference. I wish there were an easier way of finding out, with out going through trial and error. Too many screws on this machine. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your responses.. @Robert the T9600 also has a FSB 1066MHz, the cores are what I think were the problem. I am not sure.. I called HP and asked them about upgrading the processor,...
