Hello! My name is Erin and I am an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering. I am currently looking to explore different areas of my field but I am most interested in biomedical devices, HVAC, and the aerospace industry.

A project I am proud of is building a wooden stool from scratch. I am not experienced with hand power tools but I learned how to use a drill and a screwdriver in order to build this stool and I still use it every day at my house. I do not have much repair experience but through making iFixit guides I want to gain a better understanding of engineering problem solving and the engineering mechanisms that are involved in gadgets, especially the electrical components of household items.

Skills

• Basic Computer Aided Design (CAD) skills in Solidworks
• Managing construction documents including construction drawings and specifications, submittals, field orders, letters of instruction, change orders, and requests for information utilizing construction productivity software Plangrid
• Adjusting HVAC schedules for buildings utilizing the Siemens Building Automation System
• Examining energy data such as AHU supply temperature and pressure using SkySpark, a software platform for visualizing and analyzing data from equipment systems
• Communication skills including interviewing and writing

In my free time I enjoy going on hikes and just being in the outdoors and nature, and I especially enjoy seeing wildlife in action.
