Part on logic board where wifi connects broke off so now the antenna wont seat properly i still have the broken piece does...

I just replaced my wife's screen and same issue. I think its going to be an issue with a faulty LCD screen. However is the LCD is not screwed down properly on the l and r sides where there is 3 screws on each side this can actually cause problems with the touch screen. I'm no expect but when I replaced my screen I had some problems with it and made sure the screws were all tight (1 wasn't) this seemed to help. But that problem wasn't lines thou the screen. I am going to take my wife's phone this weekend and re seat the connectors on the logic board and check all the screws to see if that helps. I'll update what my findings are as soon as I can.

mkohn I have this problem as well word for word I havent tried an replacment camera yet its ordered and on the way. Wish I read this before I ordered it. Did you ever solve the issue if so how? Update: coco lon Look at step 26 this should put back on track and the nice thing is all you have to do is remove the battery connector and top plate cover the logic board connectors then you can take the camera out and you will see where it goes. yes it is related that tear in the ribbon cable is what connects the touch screen feature to the logic board your pretty much up the river without a paddle you need to buy a new one.

bad screen or you tore the ribbon cable while inserting it into the metal frame very easy to do and hard to notice.

You most likely sliced your ribbon cable while you were putting it threw that little slot in the metal frame its very easy to do.
