Hi, I recently had this problem and I noticed that the clips on the side of the phone were functional. So, I looked inside the phone and noticed that the battery was kinda like puffed out. I popped a the plastic with a needle so that there wasn't access air in the battery. This solved the problem and I could close the phone correctly.

I popped a the plastic with a needle so that there wasn't access air in the battery. This solved the problem and I could close the phone correctly.

I did my repair. Tested it in the middle and it worked fine. Then when I got all done with it there was a white border. This was for a customer so as you can imagine VERY annoying. I have to get a new screen. Also it might have happened because I put in a screw under the motherboard instead of over it and it could have hit the LCD and caused it to white border around the edges.
