Ensure that the audio cables are connected correctly to the  audio input jacks on your TV.  Inspect your TV's audio output. If case an HDMI is connected to your TV, you may need to change your cable box's audio options to HDMI.

Might sound simple but do ensure that nothing is plugged into the headphone jack on your TV.
