I had a customer come to me with an iPad Mini 3 with a cracked digitizer and snapped LCD. The home button flex cable was also snagged in the damage and needed to be replaced.
I reused the spacer, gasket and bracket when installing the new home button. However, after installing the LCD and digitizer, the home button isn't responding. I've taken it back apart and reseated the home button flex cable but haven't had a chance to test it yet.
Is there a contact on the home button bracket that needs to be lined up with the home button on order for it to work?
