The RTC battery is located right at the top of the PCB in the first picture.

thank you very much for your post. may i know what is the model of the battery 2320 or 2420 ?
In my case it's a Lenovo G580, But the following applies for all other models.
My question:
Is the CMOS battery wire soldered to the board and if so how can we remove it?
Information only below:
For those of you that don't know CMOS battery is also known as RTC battery.
Also some Laptops/PC's have a reset button and some require a jumper to be removed or re-positioned while others require the battery to be removed completely for up to 60 seconds.

What is the problem of my Lenovo G580 20157 I bought a brandnew motherboard but the problem is still the same the fan is working dvd rom the light in the side of the camera is on but the screen is off... can you please help me..
I have cut the solder to the battery in hopes that the vram setting I changed in the modified bios reverted back to stock settings. As it's a pain to assemble, I'm going to wait to test it for when I purchase a new CPU for this board. Am I going to Be ok or am i asking for trouble?
