I bought a windows 10 usb to upgrade from window 8. I installed to my os primary. It has an error message that the installation did not fully install and you must reboot. When I reboot it just keeps showing the same message. How can i fix it? It wont even let me go restore from factory settings. We cannot find the windows 8 start up disk. I do have the windows 10 usb install.

Try repairing the installation using a Win 10 recovery disc.
A Win 10 recovery disc can be created from any known working Win 10 PC.
All you need is a 8GB USB flashdrive and about 40-60 minutes of time. In the host PC, go to Control Panel > Recovery > create a recovery drive and follow the prompts.
When you have the USB recovery drive, insert it into the laptop and turn on the laptop.
When it starts and before it boots into Windows, get into BIOS by pressing the F2 key. When in BIOS select the “boot” tab and alter the boot priority to boot from the USB as 1st boot option. You will also need to enable CSM to allow you to boot from a USB drive. Save the changes and exit from BIOS.
When the laptop restarts, it should boot into the Windows Recovery Environment menu area.
Select Troubleshoot > Advanced > StartUp repair and follow the prompts.
DO NOT select Reset this PC, as this could reinstall Windows and erase your data if you select the wrong option.

Tbe problem is i have a rogwith windows 8. I have a usb with full windows 10. When i installed like you said. It has the error. I cannot even get back to windows 8. It cannot find it now. Any other suggestion?

You cannot use a Win 10 installation disc to do a repair. That is why I suggested creating a Win 10 recovery disc and using that.
