Most times, it is only one screw on the bottom of the laptop and the DVD/CD drive can be pulled out.
Lay the laptop down on its backside to expose the bottom case. There should be a screw with a symbol next to it that looks similar to a CD or DVD or disc. Remove this screw, press the eject button to the left of the drive, and the DVD drive should eject and slide out easily.

If you are trying to remove a stuck DVD disc rather than removing the entire DVD drive, most drives include a manual ejection with a paper clip via a small hole on the drive's front panel.

@propman Right on. I wasn't thinking of that. If the disc is stuck, you will need a paper clip to manually eject the disc with the small hole on the front of the drive.
