Background and Identification
In 2020, Apple refreshed the 13” MacBook Pros with updated processors and components. Notably, Apple finally transitioned away from the ingress-prone “butterfly” keyboard and replaced it with a more reliable "redesigned scissor mechanism".
The 13” MacBook Pros fall within two general tiers. This is the lower tier (A2289/EMC3456), which includes:

- Intel Iris Plus Graphics 645
- 8th generation Intel Core i5 (8257U) or Core i7 (8557U) Coffee Lake CPU's
