On December 13, 2021, iFixit and Microsoft announced a program where iFixit Pro independent repairers and Microsoft Authorized Service Providers can purchase tools for repairing select Microsoft Surface devices directly from iFixit.com.
Background and Identification
Microsoft’s Surface Pro X was announced on October 2nd, 2019 alongside the Surface Pro 7 and Surface Laptop 3. A Wi-Fi only version was later announced on September 22nd, 2021.
The Surface Pro X (pronounced “X”, not “ten”) utilizes ARM architecture for better power efficiency, and Microsoft claims the battery can last up to 13 hours.
