The Alienware Aurora M9700 is a large size gaming laptop used for high-performance gaming and data storage. The Alienware Aurora M9700 has a 17-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. This model of Alienware was the first 17-inch device to simultaneously run two graphics processing units, a new feature the previous model lacked. The M9700 model also came equipped with jacks capable of connecting to a 5.1 sound system, 4 USB ports, ExpressCard Slot, and a 4 in 1 card reader.

The Alienware Aurora M9700 was replaced in 2009 by the Alienware Aurora M17x.
