My name is Jairo Valencia and I started working at iFixit in January of 2012. Since then I have been editing video for our YouTube channel. I went to Allan Hancock Community college for film.

I have been working in video production in one way or another for about 12 years. Working at iFixit has not only been about video though. I have also learned much about repair and tech. Sometimes being the person behind the camera and in front of it.

Some of my favorite fixes are cell phone and game console repairs. I love to do iPhone screen repairs because they save me lots of money and keep me from buying a new phone every year.

I grew up doing farm work and still do. Farming has been in my family for three generations so it’s almost weird for me to branch out. Farming is still something I truly respect and who knows it may call me back one day.
